Joe Zawinul: 1932-2007
Image by Flickr user Berbera van den Hoek / Creative Commons license. Many thanks!

This blog is about the world (through Geography) and occasionally Jazz (and beer and whisky, and books, and other stuff...)

One person who was associated very much with jazz and world music through his work with Weather Report and a huge range of other musicians and projects was Joe Zawinul who died earlier this week. I've been listening to his music for more than 25 years.
Played "Brown Street" very loud today...
Never heard him ? Try THIS SELECTION OF MUSIC.
Thanks for the music...
