It looks like it has some great potential ideas relevant to my forthcoming projects...

I'll be reading it at the same time as you - what do you think of a bloggers' book club, and then I could maybe see about a TeachMeet-The-Author session at SLF2008?

That sounds great to me.
Will contact you separately with my thoughts on this, but the idea of having "reading groups" (or rather, MEDIA GROUPS) was something that I suggested in my interview presentation for my new GA Curriculum Leader post.

Arrived today and 4 chapters in. Some nice quotes and ideas to run with and develop geographically...
Plenty of "media" related fodder for SAGT too

Picture: David Rayner CfBT Conference for Geography for new KS3 Curriculum Thanks to the 70+ Heads of Geography and other colleagues in various capacities who attended the CfBT Eastern Region Conference at the Holiday Inn in Norwich yesterday.
