GA Magazine The latest edition of the GA Magazine is now available to download from the GA website (you need to log in first...) This is a particularly good issue, but then I have to declare an interest: I edited the issue, along with David Rayner. In addition to the usual features, such as a particularly good Webwatch, there are some feature pieces on the concept of INTERDEPENDENCE . The middle section was the bit I edited. GA Magazine Summer 2008 Edition Now available to download (by GA Members) from the GA WEBSITE . Good report on conference, Webwatch, article by Nicole Lyons and Dan Raven Ellison, and plenty of information on what the GA are doing to support colleagues at all key stages. Also some DOWNLOADS from the conference now available.

World City - Doreen Massey Just ordered this from Amazon. It's for getting ready for the new A level courses from September and also putting together a fieldwork visit. Also ordered David Warlick's CLASSROOM BLOGGING to read up on how to develop my pedagogy further. I feel I'm missing something here, but am hamstrung by lack of PC access for several of my groups... Also get yourself over to the Geographical Association website and download the Spring 2008 issue of GA Magazine - a great webwatch feature...

New issue of GA Magazine out today Features a first look at the tool kit series and some very useful articles plus 'Webwatch', which is a bit out of date. World of Experience website was not available when I looked for it last month. Also rather more than 70 presentations in Slideshare group. GA Members can download from website. Also features an "Early Bird" booking form for GA Conference 2008. Good to see that Andrew Simms will be doing a session... Big fan of NEF as regular readers of blog will know.

First of all a spot of jazz. Check this album out ! Then a spot of ale... Try some organic Jurassic Beer, which I got today and brewed by the Dorset Brewing Company in Weymouth - has a picture of Durdle Door on the label. Then some Geography New 'A' level specifications are available from the various exam board websites. Also new GA Magazine has pictures of GA Conference and also a 3 page Webwatch special on Blogging. Can be downloaded by members from GA website if you haven't already got your copy.

One of the little extras I do is to write the WEBWATCH feature of GA Magazine. I also wrote an article on the GEOGRAPHY OF HAPPINESS project I was involved in over the Summer of 2006 for the recent issue. GA members can download this issue from the GA WEBSITE . The website mentions that the magazine is now printed by BUXTON PRESS , which has a real commitment to being as environmentally friendly as possible.
