Current TV is available on Sky channel 229.
It consists of short PODS, some of which are produced by viewers. Content is 'greenlighted' by viewers and the schedule is made up of short chunks which flit between different topics.
Al Gore is the Chairman of the company.
Search for particular topics, and you'll find some good geographical content, such as the film below (which may not play at school) of a glacier in Alaska.
